Let's give a shout out

Hello everyone, I have an ideal I like to share with you. I know that quite a few of you have your own sites and we are all celebrating our Lord and Saviour and trying to get more members to fellowship with. This ideal is another way for us to support each other and I like to know what you think. Basically the ideal is for us to give a shout out to the members of our site about another christian site. I was thinking maybe each member that wanted to participate could set up a text box on the r

Hidden Thoughts by Joe La Bianca

My daughter came in from the snow. She said it was unusually dark inside the house. What does this mean? Can you see God in this? Yes. Her eyes, while outside in the blinding snow were protecting themselves automatically without her knowledge. The lenses closed somewhat to protect the inner eye. God had to program that to happen.
This shows that Someone knew there would be a sun, bright snow, a cursed creation, blindness and a myriad of other things. This shows… Continue

God's Hands Are Not Shortened...

Living in the last days and times, we being Sons and Daughters of God, have to trust God more than ever before.

Learning to lean on His arms, believing what His promises are in our lives.

God’s Hands are not shortened, where He can redeem us from what we’re going through. Does He not have the power to save? Or deliver us from the evil that’s surrounds us?

Some people place God is a little box. But we as children of the Most High need to think outside the box.

When we think small, we receive… Continue

100% Guarantee

Did you know that there's only one 100% guarantee? It's God's word and if you learn it and follow God's instructions things will work out for the best and that's a guarantee you can truly count on. Check out his word in the bible. Look at the bible as:
B-basic
I-instructions
B-before
L-leaving
E-earth
God put your guarantee in writing. What more do you need.

OTG Taking things higher than 12 steps 24/7

For anyone dealing with addictions it is important that you seek God first and then continue to pray and seek treatment. Following a 12 step program is important but it is even more important to get into the routine of putting God first. Make no mistake after being of the world for so long it will take time and effort on your part, but as time goes on you will find the more you put God first the easier your life will become.
Put God first, then the 12 steps
The first commandment is: Thou shalt have no other gods before me. ( To my understanding this simply means put nothing above God, not your spouse, child, job, home or any other thing of the world.)
The 12 steps (Important but not as important as the first commandment)
Step 1: We admitted that we were powerless over our addiction, that our lives had become unmanagable.
Step 2: We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.
Step 3: We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of our God as we understood Him.
Step 4: We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.
Step 5: We admitted to God, ourselves, and to another human being the nature of our wrong doings.
Step 6: We were entirely ready for God to remove all these defects of character.
Step 7: We humbly ask God to remove our shortcomings.
Step 8: We made a list of people we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them.
Step 9: We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would hurt them or others.
Step 10: We continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it.
Step 11: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will and the power to carry that out.
Step 12: Having had a spiritual awakening as a result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs.

My name is Alphonso Rodgers and this site is my way of following the first commandments and the 12 steps. God bless you.

Welcome to Only Thank God

A christian based network of people supporting each other through prayer, encouragement, and understanding. My name is Alphonso and God has delivered me from drugs and alcohol and as a testimony to my Lord and Saviour I've started this website. "Addicts suffer from a disease for which there's no cure" is a lie the devil has convinced people to keep telling themselves was true. The bible tells us that God sent his son to die for us and that no weapon formed against his children shall prosper. As God's children we also have power in our words so if we continue to tell ourselves that we are addicts then we continue to give power to the addiction instead of taking power over it in the name of Jesus. I encourage anyone who has dealt with or may be still dealing with drugs and alcohol to become a member (whether it's you or a loved one). I also like to encourage you to read a testimony of mine in my blog post "God Works In Mysterious Ways" so that you can learn a little about my struggles with addictions and how God brought me through them. Everyone go through hard times, some more than others due to the choices we make. No matter what you've done or how far you may be down God still loves you and can bring you up and out of any situation. I invite you to share some of what you've been through and how God brought you out. Do this with the understanding that there's power in your words. What you say may not help everyone but it just might save someone. So whether you want someone to talk to, have a prayer request, or just want to testify your welcomed to ONLY THANK GOD.
