Shalom b'Yahushuah, ha Mashiach, amien. Peace in Joshuah (aka jesus), the Messiah, amen. That is a hebrew greeting that Messianic belivers greet each other with that is also a prayer for peace to that person. Thank you Alphonso for inviting me. I use the Hebraic Roots Version Scriptures so when I share it will have the true names of the Father and His son and I want to introduce them to you all so you will not get confused when I use them. Most of you already know the term Abba for Father. Many use the name Yahweh as Jehovah but there is an even older name that is more in correctness of His name and that is Yahuah. I will explain that one later. His only begotten son, never was "Jesus" til the greeks made the change almost 300 years after our Lord's ascension into the Heaven. It come from the greek word Ieossous and is a 1st century word literally meaning "son of zeus". Any of you who watched the Passion of the Christ heard not the word "Jesus" but did hear Yahushuah and the english for that is Joshuah and literally means "Salvation". There is so much more and maybe I can set up a Hebraic workshop here for those who would like to get back to the roots of our faith??? Shalom/Peace

I love reading the bible, it's my favorite book but I rarely attend bible studies. Instead I rely on the guidence and teaching of the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things pertaining to God. When I first became saved I was in a Christian rehad where about thirty-five of us were housed. Reaching the lowest point of my life I was open to receive the bible teachings with an open mind and heart. In fact weeks into my nine month stay I found myself to be more focused than I had ever been. I needed God to take control because I knew I was out of control. Soon I would find myself praying and crying, crying and praying, God was truly working on me, cleaning me out, preparing me to be used by Him.

This was in 1999 and still today there is one brother who was also a resident there at the time who sticks up in my mind. O'neal knew the bible scriptures up and down, forwards and backwards but he was also the most disobedient one there and being a new believer I couldn't understand it. As I said I don't go to bible study but I am constantly asking God for the wisdom needed to fulfill His Will. Until resently I always referred to the bible as the word of God and this is the main reason why I couldn't understand why O'neal was so rebellious toward the word of God.

Reading a teaching pamlet I ran across recently I printed from a web site, my eyes were open as to why O'neal was so rebellious. The bible is not the word of God as I always referred to it as. The bible is the recorded words of the saints as they were moved by the Holy Spirit to write. The bible wasn't printed until around 1516, John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word,{Jesus} and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Just like John the Babtist was not the light but was sent to bare witness of the light to come, the bible is not the word but bares witness of the Word of God, {Christ Jesus}. Now I understand why O'neal was having such a problem.

The bible can't purify us, convince us of rightousness, speak to our specific condition, give us personalized commands, judge us, tell us it loves us, show us the secrets of our hearts, but Jesus, who is the Word of God does. O'neal knew scripture but he didn't know the living Word whom through we were given the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things pertaining to God. Many of us may know O'neals who is struggling to find their way, let us continue to pray on their behalf.
