In these trying times doubt and fear is spreading like wildfire. Turn on the news and all we hear are discouraging reports that make us wonder if things will ever return to normal. With things going pretty well with me and my family sometimes fear tries to grab hold of me. God has proven too many of us time and time again that He has my back but being in the midst of this broken economy fear remains right on our heels following us step for step. We look around and think, if things don't begin to…

The bible instructs us to seek a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior. It also instructs us to work out our own soul salvation, which in my opinion begins with having a personal relationship with Him.
Why is this so crucial in living a godly life? The bible also tells us that we, {Christians} are part of one body, the body of Christ. Just as the human body has many members working together they perform different functions. Humans are all created with generally the same members, two leg…

Father God, we love you and need you everyday in every way. We thank you Father for making a way out of no way through your Son Jesus Christ, For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not parish but have everlasting life. We thank you for waking us up this morning allowing us to see another beautiful day, for this is a day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it.
We thank you for our health and strength and still in our r…

I remember when my life was guided by fear, fear of standing along, of making decisions that would set me apart from the negativity that had become the norm in my life. When we have lived a certain way for so long it becomes the norm and no matter how harmful it may be to us we become fearful of the thought of separating ourselves from it.
Even though we may be well aware that separating ourselves from that harmful situation is for the best without something to replace it we feel a sense of los…

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.
Finally fed up, God said, 'THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job.'
So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.
They moused.
They faxed.
They e-mailed.
They e-mailed with attachments.
They down…

The following was sent to me through e-mail and I thought it had a lot of truth and wisdom to it. I'll be 54 this year but many tell me I can easily pass for mid forties. I enjoy working out to look as good as I can for as long as I can, when you feel good about yourself the world can see the glow in you. I love laughing,it cleanses the soul keeping you young at heart. Many times I find myself laughing at myself while talking to God. Being one who knows I is truly blessed in spite of myself and…

I can still remember so clearly the state of mind I was in not more tha ten years ago. When I see the person I am today verses the person I was when seperated from God's Grace I see two different people, one lived in the moment with no hope of better things to come. I had very low self-esteem to a point I just stopped trying in achive anything worth while. Drugs became my release and escape from the true reality that I was out of control. I seen nothing good in where my life was heading and felt…

This is a powerful message to all my brothers and sisters in Christ!
A hater is someone who is jealous and envious and spends all their
time trying to make you look small so they can look tall.
They are very negative people to say the least. Nothing is ever
good enough!
When you make your mark, you will always attract some haters...
That's why you have to be careful with whom you share your
blessings and your dreams, because some folk can't handle seeing
you blessed...
It's dangerous to b…

It's funny how life works out sometimes. I had it hard coming up and so did my wife but in a different way. Growing up she was always looked at by most of her family members her age as a couple cans short of a six pack mainly because she thought and acted differently. Most of them who felt this way felt in their younger years that they themselves had it going on and was quick to embrass the street life, my wife was the opposite. They only cared about themselves and it showed in their actions.
T…

When I read this beautiful and powerful story which demistrates God's love working through a earthly vessle it brought tears to my eyes. We should all be a blessing to each other.
The man slowly looked up. This was a woman clearly accustomed to the finer things of life. Her coat was new. She looked like she had never missed a meal in her life. His first thought was that she wanted to make fun of him, like so many others had done before. "Leave me alone," he growled...
To his amazement, the wo…

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.
He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.
He practiced in the woods; but he could never hit the target.
Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner..
As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.
Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head and killed it. He was shocked and grieved!
In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
Sister watching! Sal…

Since giving my life to Christ back in 1999 my greatest desire is to please Him. Many times especially for new believers we tend to believe the bigger the task the more pleased God will be. We see those who are able to impact multitudes and through of our love and greatfulness toward God this is what we desire.
I work with a spiritual brother who in his spare time works with kids. Talking to him it started me to thinking, that's what I would like to do because lord knows many of our kids need al…

Yes I am truly blessed but not satisfied. Before you jump to the wrong conclusion I’m not saying I’m dissatisfied with God, but with self. I love the person I am today but I also believe that God wants and has so much more for me. The bible tells us that in Christ although we are still in the world we are no longer of the world, in other words we no longer live to fulfill the desires of our flesh but of the spirit. Why, because of our desire to please God we desire to be guided by His Holy Spiri…

I love reading the bible, it's my favorite book but I rarely attend bible studies. Instead I rely on the guidence and teaching of the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things pertaining to God. When I first became saved I was in a Christian rehad where about thirty-five of us were housed. Reaching the lowest point of my life I was open to receive the bible teachings with an open mind and heart. In fact weeks into my nine month stay I found myself to be more focused than I had ever been. I needed Go…

I look over my life today and think to myself, I am truly blessed. I don't have everything I would like but I have everything I need. I may not be as far up life's ladder as I would like but that's only because of the past choices I made, but in spite of that, I am still truly blessed.
As a child I grew up always feeling alone in the world. When I recall my childhood pictures, even the ones of the two birthday parties I was given; I always had the same sad look on my face, I have yet to find on…
